Before Pregnancy
It's best to take Elevit at least one month prior to conception, although it has
benefits throughout the nine months of pregnancy and right through to breast feeding.
During Pregnancy
If you're pregnant, Elevit can help! The unique formulation of Elevit contains 800mcg
of folic acid, ten other vitamins and seven trace elements, including iron. This
can help prevent fatigue and iron deficiency (all too common when you're pregnant).
After Pregnancy
After a baby is born it also makes sense to take Elevit. You may have lost a lot
of iron during the birth process and it's important for your health to have adequate
nutrition levels after pregnancy. If you're breast feeding, you're also likely to
feel like a machine! On average a woman breast feeding will be making 850mL of milk
a day! That means you'll need extra calcium to cope with the demand.
Clinically Tested
Many multivitamin pregnancy supplements make claims but Elevit is the only supplement
that is based on a formulation clinically proven to reduce the risk of neural tube
defects like spina bifida by 92%.1-3 The clinical study to test the
effectiveness of Elevit involved over 5,000 women. Elevit works!
Do not take Elevit if you have:
- Very high levels of vitamin D in your blood.
- High levels of calcium in your blood or urine.
- A kidney disease.
- Been told you have a problem with your body's physical and chemical processes.
- Been told you have problems storing iron.
