There are many factors that can affect the sperm health of your partner. From chemicals and toxins they’re exposed to every day, high-stress lifestyles, unhealthy eating, lack of exercise and even sitting or unknowingly exposing testicles to higher temperatures for long periods of time.

To ensure your partner is as prepared as possible, they can:

  • Increase intake of zinc, the ‘male fertility mineral’, by eating oysters, red meat, spinach and pumpkin seeds (Zinc is one of the major ingredients in Menevit)
  • Eat plenty of fish to get fatty acids that support sperm health
  • Get plenty of antioxidants through green vegetables, beans, nuts, grains, fruit (particularly berries), dark chocolate and even (moderate amounts of) red wine
  • Avoid smoking and heavy drinking
  • Try to minimize stress
  • Keep fit and stay within a healthy weight range, exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet
  • Avoid occupations that expose testicles to extreme heat or radiation, hot baths and sitting for long periods of time (especially when resting your laptop on your lap)
  • Try to have sex two to three times a week to maintain optimal sperm health
